Washington Gubentaorial Primary Update
So Sims got crushed, for reasons that probably had less to do with his worthy income tax idea and more to do with Gregoire's titanic campaign chest, presumption of victory, and cozy relationships with the Democratic establishment statewide. It remains far from clear, however, what she would do as Governor any different from the robotic caretaker-in-chief we've got now, or what she plans to do about Rossi, who appears to be a formidable campaigner likely to get stronger if it starts looking like he could win.
