Odds and Ends
On Tuesday, I will be taking my annual pilgrimage to Comic-Con International: San Diego, the epicenter of pop culture insanity. As a result, EA will be on auto-pilot through next Monday. Feel free to use the comments section of this post as an open thread to discuss whatever you wish.

Rayne Tomorrow
I suspect many of you are familiar with the great work of my blogging colleague, Rayne Today, who started trawling the Salon blogpond around the same time as me, two-odd years ago. Lately I’ve had occasion to work with little-Mrs.-Force-of-Nature on some professional matters, and tomorrow, I will finally meet her in person when she comes out here to Seattle to work with me on a Borg-related project. Should be fun. I am very much looking forward to meeting someone I consider to be one of my better friends for the first time.
